This is the danger of glamour: it makes us disguise what we are behind a mask of what we think we should be.  It leads us to compare ourselves with others in a competition we can never win: there is always going to be someone more beautiful, more talented, more famous, richer, thinner, smarter, younger – and there is only one of you.  So who is doing the measuring?  If this is how you determine your value, eventually you will lose.
